Lewisville Windows has an amazing selection of extremely high quality wood, composite or vinyl windows. All of our window products will either meet or exceed industry standards depending on the particular window you order and have us install.
Some of the more well known quality control inspections we adhere to are listed as follows, in no particular order: American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA): This is an international based window quality standard set up to evaluate the overall functioning, performance and construction of the different components of the window (frame, metallic hardware used, and window glass). The agency extends out a "Gold Label" to a select few which is the highest possible rating for a vinyl window. American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM): This agency leads as an international window product rating company regarding the measurement of many different areas within the window industry. More in particular things like: overall integrity, safety functioning, and customer's level of satisfaction, etc. Better Business Bureau (BBB): Lewisville Windows proudly reports that they have many associations and affiliations with other window companies and agency's (window suppliers, etc.) that have an A as well as an A+ rating! This means you will receive the best possible window service available to you when purchasing new windows from us or any of our many different suppliers. Energy Star Partner: This is a dual partnership of the U.S. governments' Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy. It was established to help households conserve on the costs associated with energy consumption and to also help preserve the overall quality of the environment through reducing the amount of greenhouse gasses being dispersed into our atmosphere. If you have energy efficient products placed into your home, you qualify for government tax breaks and rebates. |
Good Housekeeping: This quality standard has been in existence for over 100 years. Having a Good Housekeeping certificate means you have a 2-year limited warranty on your windows as they were constructed to last many years.
Lead-Free Contamination: Lewisville Windows are EPA endorsed as a lead free window product having no harmful or poisonous toxicants contained within them. Lewisville Windows is also a window expert when it comes to safely disposing of lead paint, etc. during the process of installing an upgrade of new windows in to your older home.
National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC): This council puts vinyl windows through a series of extreme tests to make sure the durability and ongoing functioning meet the highest ratings involving energy efficient measurements.
Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC): This agency measures exactly how good a vinyl window product can block solar ray heat from the powerful sun. The lower the rating on this measurement, the better the window is at not allowing additional heat in to your home from the sun.
Sound Transmission Class (STC): This is a type of measurement the checks to see what the exact amount of sound that is pass through the glass portion of the window from the outside to inside of your home or commercial building.
Visible Transmittance (VT): This is another type of measurement that checks to see how much visible light is being passed through the window in to your home. The higher the rating, the better the window is at allowing sun light in.
U Value: This unit of measurement sees just how effective a vinyl glass window is at blocking thermal radiant heat from leaving your home. The lower the rating, the better the glass window is at keeping a stable climate through no letting too much heat to escape out of your home windows.
